US senators vote to send thousands back to prison

Under the cares act thousands of inmates were released to home confinement with a enormous success rate. Now, three years after these people have done perfect at home confinement, the Senate would like to send them all back to federal prison. This is cruel and unusual punishment. If they are doing fine on home confinement, then let them stay and finish the sentence at home. We have some sick and twisted people in Washington DC.
